Blessed is the one,
Who is forgiven;
Pardoned through the Son,
To go to Heaven.
Blessed is the one,
No longer has sin;
Evil thoughts are none,
Has been cleansed within.
I once knew some tricks,
Kept quiet about sin;
But a ton of bricks,
Felt heavy within.
My bones felt so weak,
I was groaning all day;
For I was a sneak,
That was led astray.
Day and night His hand,
Laid heavy on me;
Felt too weak to stand,
My eyes blurred to see.
I needed to rid lust,
And to stop the guilt;
And start giving trust,
A bridge to be built.
I went and confessed,
All them to the Lord;
So I could be blest,
And in one accord.
My sins He forgave,
And showed me the way;
Saving from the grave,
If I do obey.
God is my refuge,
And my hiding place;
That the dark deluge,
Has caused such disgrace.
