I believe therefore I speak,
About my spirit of faith;
That we have the same to seek,
As I feel secure and safe.
I also believe and say,
Of the Holy One who brought;
Jesus Christ on earth to pay,
With His blood that sins were bought.
For Jesus endured the strife,
On a cross was crucified;
And then was brought back to life,
After He already died.
He will present us to God,
When every knee shall bow;
To give Him honor and laud,
Before the Lord will endow.
All of this is for your sake,
That His kindness overflows;
So He is able to make,
That His glory also shows.
It will produce thanksgiving,
Through the glory of the Lord;
With eternal living,
And being in one accord.
So we are not discouraged,
And never have any doubt;
I am only encouraged,
And pray never to wear out.
Though outwardly I wear thin,
But inside I am renewed;
Resisting the lure of sin,
Because of my attitude.
For my suffering is light,
That is a light affliction;
Because I do what is right,
For feeling His affection.
