The reason I can still find hope, Because I keep one thing in mind; The toils and troubles I cope, Since the mercy of God is kind. We are not completely wiped out, His steadfast love never ceases; And I will never hold a doubt, That His grace always increases. His love never comes to an end, Compassion is not limited; Having enough strength to defend, By anyone uninvited. It is new every morning, Because His faithfulness is great; So refreshing without warning, As it is driving out the hate. For the Lord is my lot in life, That is why I find hope in Him; Since He handles all of the strife, So my life is no longer grim. The Lord is good to all of those, Who are patient enough to wait; Down from Heaven His love flows, Allowing it to compensate. It is good when you continue, To hope and to wait silently; With perseverance to pursue, So you can win confidently. It is good for you to endure, The burdens while they are new; Able to know the Lord for sure, Spit them out after He does chew.
