The melodious tone of your sweet voice,
In the mornings when you call my name,
There is something medicinal about it,
Something that seems to ease my pain,

Aaliyah,

Twelve years you have hung in here with me,
You should be honored with an award bearing your name,
Inducting you into a lovers hall of fame,

There was a time before I became who I am,

A time of youth, health, vigor and vim,
It seems that I have never taken advantage
When I have had the chance...
To demonstate to you ... true romance,

My body, my heart and my mind...
Inconguent some of the time,
Physical pain often mask
What my heart feels,

What my wretched tongue conceals,
That my love for you is real,
And I really do love you,

Aaliyah ... know this

The tone of your sweet voice is melodic,
And when you speak my name it soothes me,
You speak my name like no other,

I thank Allah for making you for me,
Making you more than my friend, my wife, my lover

My Aaliyah,

You are my everything.
