Welcome to My Poetry Site
If I could take a walk with me
a simple casual stroll
to have a little chat
and ask how I've been
to point out the things we see
as we move along
Have I taken care of me
or failed to treat with kindness
am I comfortable in my self
in choices I have made
Do I judge too harshly,
mistakes from long ago
are there memories of my life
I wish that I could forget
Perhaps I should remind myself
that after all I'm human
and most are not important
except to be a friend to me
would be a place to start.
