W e are but a speck of cosmic dustJust how important do we think we are, Inhabiting this dot, our microcosmic star, So insignificant, no-one knows we exist, Yet we want to destroy it, insanity persists, Politicians make war, for greed or maybe creed, Usurping more lands fulfilling a deadly need, The voice of the people sing a similar song, The average man says something is very wrong, We are all just humans, regardless of skin, None more special, we are the same within, Our planet is so fragile, we need to be as one, Abusing our tiny earth as previously we have done Why can't we learn to live in harmony, Why don't we learn to know our place, A mere dot on the edge of the universe, The only life-form in our corner of space, Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
