Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Something different

I want something different from all I've been granted
Something much softer and sweeter to taste
I am tired of the bitterness that explodes into anger
That rushes forth my downfall with repetitive haste.

So much misfortune has condemned my existence
As though nature itself demands that I fail
There are so very few… moments of surrender
To equal the nightmares each day still entails.
