The very you By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Not long ago I took some time
To pour a glass of you once mine
Inside a goblet flowed perfume
Of you, bouquet upon mind swooned
Here this moment mine to savor
Mine alone on good behavior
Peaceful bliss to sip upon
Slowly pressed on lips bygone
How warm the feel, room temperature
Raised by each glass as was our nature
Another toast to you, thoughts of
Swirled with dance, with dance of love
I'd swear the moment bullet proof
My Kevlar soul withstood but poof
Like magic came to leave
Its calling card of make, believe
The very you
