Breaking the dream

From a dream I saw you.
From my heart I loved you.
For a rock which fell.
For a wave which crashed.
I was there.
I was there when you fell,
I was there when you cried,
I was there when the sun set and I was there when it rose,
From a dream I saw you.
From my heart I loved you.
For a rock which fell.
For a wave which crashed.
I was there.
I was there when you fell,
I was there when you cried,
I was there when the sun set and I was there when it rose,
But, little rock, you broke the wave and woke me from the dream.
I was but standing whilst you were but crashing.
Crashing down, breaking sunshine, breaking sunsets and waking sunrises.
The casual beholder of the magnificent Rock, my rock.
But, little rock, you broke the wave and woke me from the dream.
I was but standing whilst you were but crashing.
Crashing down, breaking sunshine, breaking sunsets and waking sunrises.
The casual beholder of the magnificent Rock, my rock.
