Welcome to My Poetry Site

The summer solstice has arrived,
the most sunshine in all year,
barbecues and picnics,
fun for one and all,
to spend the day relaxing,
warm sun and shady trees.

But lurking in the shadows,
a not so pleasant true,
if today's the longest sun filled day,
it's all down hill from here.
