Daughter of Wonders By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Today my servant watched you cry
As I did too as tears and sighs
Became of you, became your now
As questions yours ask why and how
Why me dear GOD who seeks your face
Who feels not loved and your embrace
But know Joanne I have great plans
Be still and know near you I stand
Your need is great as mine is too
To bring a smile and your breakthrough
To change what hurts my daughter's heart
To mend, make new the broken parts
Breathe deep and keep your eyes on me
Make faith that made all blind men see
Become yours now beyond the present
Close your eyes, feel now my presence
It may be dark this very moment
This day, the weeks and months of torment
Shall have no more their hold and way
With you I've loved before birthday
These words now keep, immerse your soul
With loving thoughts countless, untold
For you are mine as I am yours
Forever your father, now rest assured
For Joanne, My daughter of wonders
