Yours, mine, ours and losses of friendships
Looking at old pictures someone important to me
And now they are just memories
I know it is hollow but Jesus takes care of them
Shadowed memories come back of times long ago
I remember in high school three young boys
They woke up each morning and headed to the ball field
One has recently lost his wife has CO PD
His wife another friend, my cousin, I introduced them
The second boy became a Hall of Fame ball player
An athlete skills higher than most would live Forever
He died a few years back diabetes took his life and legs
Today another old friend of mines wife called
Second grade we met his son died yesterday
I have to find him and help him through his pain
This is to say my fellow poets I read the pain
you are going through and pray for you as a friend
