You are all around me,
In front and in the back;
Alongside I not see,
The insight I do lack.
You lay Your hand on me,
Knowledge beyond my grasp;
Out of reach for to be,
I’m unable to clasp.
Where can I get away,
Where can I run from here;
I might just go astray,
Be overcome with fear.
Can I go to Heaven,
Or make my bed in Hell;
For the time is given,
To where I have to dwell.
If I climb to the sun,
Or on a distant shore;
The Lord will be the one,
For waiting at the door.
No matter where I go,
His hand will be my guide;
That I follow the flow,
And help me to abide.
Let the darkness hide me,
Turn away from the light;
He is able to see.
His glory shining bright.
Darkness is not too dark,
When night is bright as day;
Even if I embark,
You help me through the way.
Night and day are the same,
To You no matter what;
You create to proclaim,
About the way things ought.
I will give thanks and praise,
Being fully aware;
In walking in Your ways,
Knowing that you do care.
