It was twenty five years ago
The bond of love
Man and Woman marriage it was
I add this just because
I remember the day well
Four Seasons Hotel, Hollywood
Below the Hollywood sign
One of the top four weddings of the year
Famous guests arrived
And yes Dandy was near
My son said, "Dad, you have a speech to make
I want you to study it well for Heavens sake."
In proud moment he also said,
"For you are my best man better read."
In a foolish moment I pondered
Should such an honor not be for your friends
This is where my pondering ends
"Not only are you my Dad but best my friend."
The renewed vows took place this weekend in Hawaii
Wish the best man could have been there that's me
But I am home counting pennies my hearts there you see
It was the most blessed marriage ever just ask me
Much has taken place in the last twentyfive years
Three Grandchildren represent Dad in pictures reappears
