Foggy morn By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
visibility is reduced
somewhat this morn
there's a pea soup fog
draping so forlorn
shrouding our small township
in a murky robe
tree limbs and roofs
covered by its lobe
down our main street
cars do slow in pace
to navigate carefully
through the thick trace
upon the river its density
is denser still
much like the massing
of compacting krill
given that it's a July dawn
in these rural parts
twill be a while till
the veiling departs
a sky of brightness
shall emerge to-day
on the fog clearing
from our town's shay
