A love story ruined
By a lack of perfection
In her eyes he was perfect
Flaws included, loved not ignored
But to him every flaw was a vice
In her eyes, he'd never look twice
For thesingle fleck
Of different color
Ground his neves down into butter
And how could he love her
She was no goddess
Her hair was mussed at morning
And when tired her eyes
Were ringed indark circles
Her breasts were too small
Her hips not round enough
And he her in those rare days
When her mood was something
That wasn't ecstatic
While she drank him up
And loved every flawed drop
He took a sip
And threw out the wine
That was just slightly off
From the perfect drink he desired.
