Sinless You Say?

Okay, we have done our venting
At the US Supreme Court choice!
We've raged against gay marriage!
We have given our fears voice!

Convinced God will judge America,
Just the way He once judged Sodom...
We've placed that gay thing on the top
But God can see the bottom!

And gays are not the worse or
Only sinners in this world...
Won't be the only ones to see
The wrath of God unfurled!

What of the hetero-sexual married
Who commit similar sin?
Where do the rapist? Pedophile?
Or abortionist fit in??

What of the seven deadly sins ?
Should a Christian not take heed?
Has adultery been eliminated?
Has lust, laziness, or greed?

Some are oblivious to wrong doing...
  Products of their own pride.
Passions of immorality
Keeps them all self-glorified.

The liar has lied himself into
A web of self-deceit.
The thief who thinks small steals won't count
Will crumble at God's feet.

So before we cast another stone,
Let's examine our own hearts.
For this is where we search for truth...
This is where the cleansing starts.

For if we are saying that our sin
Is not as vile as some have wrought...
Jesus once wrote into the sand
To contradict any such thought!

Yes, we can judge what's right or wrong...
This is what the church must do.
But, just remember that each judgment,
Must begin with me and you.

For the mote in someone else's eye
Is so easy to detect
While the plank embedded in our own
We tend to totally neglect.

The good news is that God forgives...
Forgives all and any sin.
If confessed and if repented from
Sanctification will begin.

God swings wide those gates of blessings...
To help, to heal, to guide...
To take us to the Cross of Christ
Where the Blood can be applied.

So, let's concentrate on praying for
All sinners to come Home
Let's walk in love and look for ways
To point them to the Throne.

~~AUTHOR'S NOTE~~
I was so riled up about the Supreme Court's
decision to allow Same Sex Marriage that I
didn't realize I had become so self-righteous
in my judgment. And God had to knock me
down a notch!! It's not easy to be corrected
or disciplined when one feels they have
judged
rightly. But God did not tell me I'd judged wrong...
His Word on marriage still stands...what He did
bring to my attention was my reaction to it all!
I reacted like I and all non gay people were
walking in sinless perfection...like the gays and
gays alone would bring down His wrath upon
America. No, I was wrong!!! Yes, God hates that
sin...but He hates ALL sin! Every sin sent Jesus
to the Cross!! Let us try to remain humble
before the Lord...and grateful when He sees
the need to correct us. Yes, I cried...but. hopefully,
 the lesson has been learned.

Mathew 7:2-4
For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your
standard of measure, it will be measured to you. "Why do
you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not
notice the log that is in your own eye? "Or how can you say
to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,'
and behold, the log is in your own eye?

John 8:5-7
"Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women;
what then do You say?" They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might
have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with his finger
f wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him,
He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin
among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."…

Ez 16:49-50
Now this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters
had pride, plenty of food, and comfortable security, but didn’t support
the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things
before Me, so I removed them when I saw this" .

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,

1 John 1:9 -
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
[our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
