Trees are drooping
Red-orange purple foliage
The mountains turning white
Soon it well be snowing tonight
Mountain steams billowing
Icy creeks flowing in white foaming
Flowers dropping to fade away
The ground covered at end of day
Winter is coming fall leaving
It is a good time and no greaving
Awaiting blue skies return in spring
Mother nature is doing her thing
All are awaiting the return of the king
Skitters skating above pebble rocks
time to set back early morning clocks
As a trout's dinner in a mating dance
The moonlight above does enhance
Late falls opus to early winter bringing
In the skies songbirds are singing
Mothball hail falls on windshield wipers
In the rocks sleep all the sunning vipers
King Salmon are returning to Cottage Lake creek
In Seattles Pike peak market King Salmon they seek
Road guards have come two Coho Salmon
Found in all the shallow waters
Praise Mother Earth all sons and daughters
Tourists are clapping to joys of practiced feats
As the audience from inside and on the streets
Salmon have returned to spawn at Cottage lake creek
Tossing fish at Pike's steet market at it's peak
