Her walk so gentle yet aloft
As a baby bird on it's maiden flight
She turns in a voice so soft
To be but a whisper in the night
A whiff of her perfume drives you crazy
The aroma can never be forgotten
The beauty of the purple daisy
majestic in a field of white cotton
Yet the time has come to let her go
For to try and keep her would be sin
and her silent words have let you know
It is a love you can never win
Still you must stay to see her depart
To stay away not soon to be forgot
There is a soaring pain within your heart
so to suffer must be your lot
The practiced word that were so easy
So memorized and meaning as rehearsed
Then why does you stomach feel so quesy?
YOu only have to say them as rehearsed
Storm clouds are enveloping the sky
The air comes alive with singing birds
Two joggers as one come running by
Well their chattering drown out your words?
And then none are you able to say
As a train rumbles down the track
for quickly goes on her way
As you wave and she doesn't look back
To continue to wait becomes absurd
And the tears cannot be restrained
And you can only hope they go unheard
showers of tears mixing in the falling rain
Silent now not even the sound of a bird
What's left in the distance smoke from a leaving train
