 Poet 11586

A writer's fear

I am afraid to finally greet the day
When I've already written far too many ideas
That my ink is starting to run dry
And I can no longer grasp what I feel;
I can no longer translate these feelings into something more concrete than thoughts;
I can no longer produce words that can give justice to the depths of the world.
I fear that a day would come
When no longer am I capable of being inspired --
My mind reached its state where letters are forgotten
And become one of the normals" in this world
I cower in the thought that the artist in me will soon cease to exist.
I fear that these fears are slowly clawing their way to my veins.
And I'm afraid to admit...
That I am losing the fight.
