Black puddles By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
My skates have holes
I have not even started skating yet
Cobwebs allover me
How long have I been in rest?
The skating rink isopen
Where swirls of gray
Cannot find the white
Exceptin children's eyes
Exhillerence of the mind
Is a detached bow on a violin
Where the blades hit the ice
The rouge is a blush when icefrostsover the skin
All eyes roll like dice
Because wind blew over from the figure skater
Her marigold leotard sashays in the night
Thechattering crowd in the cloud stadium awaits the pirouette
It seems an egret flew over with an olive branch
Like kittens the crowds no longer cuddle
As spring dawns the ovation of warmth
Outside the spotlight are black puddles
