Failed Words/Feelings Prevail
At times words utterly fail us,
On these tools we've come to trust.
Yet at times they're not enough,
Especially when the goings rough.
When death invades our mortal sphere,
Robbing us of someone dear,
Who can say words that would express
The depth of feelings, within the breast?
When we see another hurting,
Love's concern to us alerting
Yet for all we feel inside,
Words disappear we would confide.
Some things are much to deep for words,
Which are felt instead of heard.
So we must rely on such,
Express through grief, or tear, or touch.
LORD, help translate what we feel,
That to the hurting it may be real
A true reflection of our care,
Wordless, but present in heartfelt prayer.
[Dedicated to my friend, Sherry,
in the recent loss of her dear
Mother by cancer-God Bless You,
Dear Friend!]
