I search out meanings
in the loose leaved skin
the maple leaves swinging before me
I want
I have
I'm left with the burning of the dark matter
that only yesterday filled me
and filled
Me
A burning body
The end of the trail of
deniedblood that's wished away
But what I face is blissful and bright
between the two ripe treesgrowing in the yard
from the wide two-paned windows
my face always peeringoutside
A face can only face
can only really lookforward
peek at what there is to see
and if the blood is clotting thick behind me
or has been washed away long ago unnoticed
it is only an abstraction
because my head won't ever turn that far.
