Gypsy music wraps itself
around old memories,
slowly drawing you out
and I find myself falling again,
the sensation both
disorienting
and familiar.
The thoughts I truly think
still linger between the lines,
messages written on notebook paper,
its edges torn out and curled,
the words marked by invisible ink,
I hope you still have your decoder ring.
It wasn't me.
It wasn't you.
Could we blame the scenery?
Truth in lies
and lies in truth.
I've missed you.
