Never falter By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Let go of all the tension,
The stress from holding onto the ledge,
Trying so hard to keep from falling into the deep, dark pit below,
Devoting all your strength,
And all your feelings and concentration,
To remaining safe and soundoutside of that pit,
Awaiting one nice stranger who instead of stomping on your fingers in hopes that you will fall,
Will pick you up out of your predicament,
But as time slowly passes you realize there is no such stranger,
You have to get out of this yourself,
But you have used all of your strength,
you have fought for to long,
You loosen your grip for a minute or two,
But tighten it again,
That's what they'd want you to do,
Your friends and family would want you to persevere,
Keep holding on when the end seems so near,
And that is the thought that makes you go on,
Their hope for you never falters,
Even when yours does.
