lately I've been having trouble not thinking of you
And you've been spending your time blocking my mirror
I'd like to cut you open and spill the words you've thought through
But you just never thought to mention
Like if only I had ever been there
You mean maybe standing right in front of you?
Cause maybe then you could rationalize the bruises on my arms
And my bones are breaking from months of waiting
I've carried the burden of loving you with nothing in return
For far too long
It's a good thing boys are built tough
Cause it feels so good to know I'm alive
Bet you didn't know this is what living like this does
