Live or die.
Try to survive.
In this world of contrast.
Happy and sad
People meet on the
Street with the sun
On one back
And in the eyes of the other.
Old and young
Mingle and move,
Making sound waves
And heat waves
And ripples in thepool.
Bold accusations hide
Quite truths,
Like elegant curves hide
Harsh corners.
Life flutters
As death splutters
From metalliccar
Onto organic flesh.
Hotelshold
The rich from the poor,
As bright flashes
Chaseaway the shadows
Exposing truths
That twist into lies,
That shape and ruin lives
And create a society
Filled with positive negatives.
Green grass verges
Encase grey footpaths
Segregating the spaces
Where leather boots tread
And rubber tyres pass.
Buildings scrape the sky,
As men walk past with their
Heads in the clouds
As the past becomes past
And future less certain.
And our eyes are filled
With such non delicate
Contrast.
