Outside the window I watch the world on loop. Having
memorized the dropping cues. Russet,
and almost dead. Unceremoniously they fall into gravity's
inevitability. We are only supposed
To forget names. I've learned to drink in your
eyes wide shut. Whimpering like a hurt dog—dur—while
you plead, and begged and...
But now I can look at his face as you gave him the
Mouth, and I repossess you between my legs. Sedation makes
for a real good anticlimax though. And 'cause time will only assume
Entropy. I have grown so far away
from you. I've assumed another natural state.
Neck and wrists are already numb on their braces.
I no longer dream. Not do I get past the last morn sun breathed
on my cheek. But in here you don't have to be scared.
I have camouflaged our body in padded concrete.
