From Calderglen to Calderwood
I'd remember your faces if I only could
Forget the memories I'm buried within
As I flow so gently from Linn to Linn
From the house of Torrance
Through the Fairie Falls
Down towards the Trough
And the Black Linn's walls
Past the old Grey Mare
And the Fairy well
Where the hermit lies
And the witches dwell
To the Silent Cliffs
Toward Sandy bays
Where the trout were plenty
In the sunshine days
Onward still to the "noble cascade"
Through light and shadow
Where my dreams were made
And on to the place where historycalls
I'd flow so gently o'er the Castle Falls
Past old Craigneth
By the old marked stones
Where I've journeyed long
With weary bones
My time will come
And my ashes then
Will flow so gently
Through Calderglen.
