The Promises of God We are sometimes like an eagle...
Looking down on all life brings...
But sometimes like a sparrow
Who can't seem to lift its wings.
Believers walk on many stages
In this performance billed as life.
At times it's like a three ring circus...
At other times it holds no strife.
The way is paved with many blessings
But holds its countless pit holes , too.
Yet if we're walking in the Spirit...
Satan has to let us through.
Setbacks scenes like pain and sorrow
Make attempts to block the way...
But God's promises are certain...
They're renewable each day.
Sometimes in our weakest moments ...
When all hell has broken loose...
When Satan whispers we'll go under...
When he is tightening the noose...
A super strength seems to shoot through us!
We know Whom we have believed!
Therefore we cannot be defeated!
And we will never be deceived!
Every promise of The Father
Is made available through Christ...
This is part of our inheritance...
He has already paid the price.
So, no matter what life throws us...
It won't matter in the end...
For we are promised life eternal!
The best is yet to come, my friend!
