 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Like snow in summertime,
And rain during harvest;
For it would be a crime,
To take the time to rest.

Like fluttering sparrows,
Or a darting sparrow;
No need to have sorrows,
That lead into tomorrow.

So honor not a fool,
Or in haste speak a curse;
You give Satan a tool,
That will never reverse.

A whip is for a horse,
A bridle for a mule;
For keeping them on course,
Discipline to the rule.

Do not answer a fool,
With his stupidity;
He will become so cruel,
With no humility.

So do not speak like him,
He will think he is wise;
Making things look so grim,
As he closes his eyes.

Whosoever uses,
A fool to send advice;
With many abuses,
Should then always think twice.

For they cut off their feet,
Causing much violence;
Angers those he will meet,
Which makes much turbulence.

Like the lame with bad legs,
A fool has a limp tongue;
Like a drunk with dry kegs,
Booze that has filled a lung.

One who thinks he is wise,
In him there is new hope;
By looking in his eyes,
Will be showing his scope.
