The sound of enough By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
A subtle sigh,
A sharply caught breath.
The clap if two hands,
Stomping the ground till its death.
The sarcastic last word,
The voice growing louder.
The shaken tone of speech,
Conversation turned holler...
The strongly shut cabinet,
The slam of a door.
Fist on the wall,
The crying on the floor.
The single dish dropped,
The glass on the wall.
The table over turned...
The sobbing fetal made ball...
These are just some,
Of the sounds you may hear.
When someone's at their limit,
And their mind starts to tear.
But saddest sound I know,
When enough is enough...
Is the silence that comes,
From a lack of supportive love.
