Growing Up By the Ocean

The Lord Jesus knew where'd be moving to when I was an infant.
My parents set their sights upon the coastline of NC.
There Dad would find a job and provide for his family.
Mom would do the housework and rear the children.
It was a time of merriment for us for my brother and I were able to play on the sidewalk.
It wasn't as it is today where they take to the streets and play.
There was a happy home life for us and also the ocean.
We'd live not far from the water.
It was easy to walk the bridge and be into the beach area.
I did this for a long time one summer and had a blast.
There was joy all around for it was a great place to be.
Yes, we lived near the ocean and what a joy it was.
