Welcome to My Poetry Site

the object there,
in front of me,
insignificant at best.

I focus on its shape and form,
color, height, and mass.

I step back, just a bit,
now I see the table.
The table holds the object,
safely and secure.

I step back, just a bit,
now I see the floor.
The floor supports the table,
the table holds the object,
safely and secure.

One more step, I see the room,
with the table, on the floor,
holding the object, safely and secure.

The narrow mind sees the object,
The open mind, the room.
