ONE VOICE

In the city so many faces passing like dreams

Sending messages unspoken heart to heart.

Beyond the arguing and bickering

There is a calm remembrance of harmony

A love lost in the rush of life.

A thousand people-one pair of eyes

Seeing through tears of joy or sadness

Looking out at the same moon in the sky.

In the midst of all this cacophony-one voice

Crying out for love and understanding

For a peace that will end our conflicts.

Deep within the soul of each one of us

There is something we can all understand-

Not encompassed by words and thoughts

But able to enrich the lives of everyone

If only we can find a way to share its beauty.
