I'm here whenever you need me.
That should go without saying.
If it's not obvious
that I would swim across oceans for you,
although I cannot swim,
then let me grab my bathing suit and some fins.
We mesh together so well.
You are the popcorn tomy movie
and I'm the mug to your coffee.
Our relationship is a sketchbook
with many more pages to fill.
An art form of some sort
we paint and draw at will.
Sometimes the roads seems shaky,
but it is always a quick fix.
Eventually the problem fades,
and resolution becomes permanent.
I know you don't think you are worth it.
That I'm out of your league.
But I see you as my superman,
so let me be your Lois Lane.
Your jokes never fail
to make me laugh out loud.
You're an oddball that's for sure,
but you're my oddball no doubt.
You put up with my mood swings
and I honestly don't know how.
That's an amazing feat.
An accomplishment of which you should be proud.
It's a dog eat dog world,
but I know I've got you to look out for me.
I keep my eyes peeled too,
for anything I can do to look out for you.
You're so handsome and smart
and I've got a thing for your luscious locks.
You'd laugh if I ever told you that,
but didn't I say I'd never lie to you?
I'll remember you remembering
that I'm here to figure out life by your side.
I love you. I truly do.
And I know you'd say, and have said,
I love you too.
