It was winter when we met
Yes the year was growing old
Not a sign of snowfall yet
But the nights were dark and cold
Yes the year was growing old
We stayed snuggled up till spring
But the nights were dark and cold
As we learned what love could bring
We stayed snuggled up till spring
Enjoying what we had begun
As we learned what love could bring
We bloomed in the summer sun
Enjoying what we had begun
Our joy set our hearts ablaze
We bloomed in the summer sun
We mellowed in the autumn days
Our joy set our hearts ablaze
Not a sign of snowfall yet
We mellowed in the autumn days
It was winter when we met
