SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PRESENT

SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PRESENT

We went to Coronation Street
This was my surprise birthday treat,
The tour took us behind the scenes
We saw the sets that reach our screens.



The Rovers Return is the pub
Where you go for a pint and grub,
We even pulled a pint or two
Newton & Ridley`s is good for you.



Betty`s hotpot was not for sale
Just a pint of Manchester ale,
On to the cobbles we did tread
So exciting it must be said.



We saw the Bistro and Rita`s shop
And at every door we did stop,
Knocked at the door and rang the bell
Each house has a story to tell.



There`s been tram crashes and fires
Teenage pregnancies, also affairs,
With plenty of murders on the street,
No other series can compete.



Thank you Jen for that lovely day
A well kept secret I must say,
To go to Coronation Street
And walk the cobbles was a treat.
