Still mix up words after my fall
Yesterday at the fair I was walking
Suddenly I was running head first
I couldn't stop without crashing in the cement
Involuntarily running is something new
I passed up a guy in a walker
Wife was ahead of me with a broken leg
She was saying, "Go go go old man!"
I'm not sure she was rooting for me
Ain't getting old wonderful?
I looked towards Heaven and said,
"One day at time, Thank you lord!"
Things could be allot worse
I could be in a hearse or with a nurse
Each day I wake up and it is a blessing
Without all these pills I am not messing
At the fair they said all Veterans stand up
A little proud I could I stood
Winters coming time to chop firewood
I looked up at the Lord thumbs up
I'm going to keep Mom up there waiting
Just as long as I can still do it
