I'm not what I seem
You saw a facade
A please-all guy
I am eager to please,
But I tire of it easily
My thoughts weigh heavily
I have been places
You will likely never go
Now that I've given up on the mask,
Maybe you will see
Some part of the real me
But even though I may be transparent,
I've had too many feelings about you
To let you inside my shields
I can't trust someone who rejected the mask
And don't expect the mask to come back
