The crying of these tattered souls
Is heard from miles away
Old abandoned churches
Are where the fallen pray
No preacher there to judge them
No angels for their guides
Alone in isolation
The sinner always hides
Prayers stained with their transgressions
A lifetime of deliberate rebellion
Mocking the ultimate Creator
Living the unruly life of a hellion
They gather in great masses
For forgiveness is what they ask
Lust, greed and jealousy
Lurking behind their sinful mask
To walk in glorious forgiveness
That simple dream would be so nice
But the fallen are never really willing
To pay the ultimate price
