My soul was dark and stormy
Lost out on a demon sea
Battered by waves of torment
No angel to watch over me
My sanity had been stolen
Gone in the blink of an eye
The hostage of my deep despair
Thrown into the wind to die
My thoughts crackled on fire
Lightening scorching my head
My heart echoed the thunder
My blood turning black from red
I became the albatross
All thought of rescue took
And then on the far horizon
A tiny spark in the night
I sailed through an eternity
Towards the light on the shore
And I found you my saviour
Waiting for me at the door
