Seriously, don't be so serious By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
My, my,
You poor thing!
You act like life
Is a serious thing!
All bent out of shape,
Screaming in pain,
"Justice! Fairness!"
They aren't players
In thisgame.
Oh silly child,
The world is in disarray
But you won't change it
If you're so serious all day.
Anger can do some;
But love can do more.
Indignation will sting them,
But laughter makes them sore.
Yes, yes, you're right;
Terrible things occur.
But life isn't all black and white;
Learn to accept some blurs.
Learn to be content
With only being so small.
Because a spider on the right bed
Can cause trouble after all.
So learn to weave a web
That ensnares all the pain,
And then be prepared
To let it wash away in the rain.
Laugh, my dear,
And take a deep breath.
You have so much life to live;
So don't be scared to death.
Don't take yourself so seriously,
Or you'll go mad, it's true!
Don't take yourself so seriously,
Because none of them do.
