Welcome to My Poetry Site

the fire box is loaded,
the tinder placed around,
ignite the piece of paper,
the kindling starts to burn.

the wood begins to catch now,
the fire does now grow.

all the wood well seasoned,
maple, oak and ash.

a piece of apple here and there,
the scent now fills the air,
the crackling of the fire...
sparks and flames are dancing,
the warmth and light surrounds you,
rest oh weary one.....
and watch the fire glow.
