"Dry leaf dreams" By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Cobwebs are forming on my mirror
Auburn leaves hanging from the ceiling
Is something wrong with the light
It meets the surface but reflection's not appearing
Maybe as the green's left all the trees
The world is starting to lose aspects of clarity
I thought diversity was the cycle keeping us alive
But I've learnt the answer, there's only one type of beauty
Cause when you start to lose your familiar shades
Nobody accepts or sees the spark in your eyes
So the wind of somberness sweeps you away
Like autumn leaves on the dry ground they hide
It's when the forces all collide with their wrath
And you're just a breath away from forgetting your features
You let the October rain take away the cobwebs
And you put on your best cause you're about to be in the picture
We're just a couple heartbeats away from having bare trees
The world is ashamed, it bows its neck
All those auburn leaves were beautiful though, am I the only one to see?
