The Love Letter
A tattered piece of paper
Containing your deepest feelings
Sincerely from you to me
In a way that's so appealing
If i close my eyes i hear your voice
But your touch so far
You try to hide your heart
But i know i left a scar
Though we're apart
Your X & O's are my hugs and kisses
I act like I'm single
Cause the world don't need to know my business
I miss my misses
Reading love letters in the woods
But not making love faces
Come close to Heaven
When I'm with you
So i love to catch your graces
Your last letter hurt the most
It wasn't love but the truth
I destroyed all the others you wrote
My ignorance as a youth
If you asked i can't play
Those letters helped me
When i missed you
I'm kinda missing you more than ever
Maybe just for this time period
My mistress moved me from this phase
In her absence i get delirious
But I'm curious to know if you meant what you wrote
All those years ago
A misunderstanding that took too long for an answer
So i don't think i want to know anymore
"Some time the truth don't rhyme"
But i took a chance as a rapper
Promises of a family
Living happily ever after
Sometimes i think we were never destined for Hell
And i could've saved us if i didn't go away to LaBelle
Oh well
I'd be doomed to repeat if i didn't learn from the pass
But i really miss the way you would twerk that ass
Oh bad
It's not all sexual
I fell in love with you intellectual
The way i put my tongue
On you i could've been a professional
You showed me love after i did you wrong
And taught me how to forgive
I wish you would've given me my first
Another reason for me to live
Write my feelings in a poem
Roll my regrets in a joint
It snows everyday here
Most of you missed that point
It's still not the right time for me
To fall in love
So i turned my feelings into letters
And put them on this tattered page
To make my last love letter
