October's message By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Light splashed itself early this morning
all down the blue spikes of a dying iris,
onto pale shells of finished anemones
and flowed its sign over late butterflies.
I saw, as light kissed roses this evening,
it fluttered a spider-web in autumn sun,
lit feeding heads of nectared honeybees
and left October's message to hurry on.
New chilly light caught wilting hedges
clinging to warmth of short afternoons,
changed vibrations to inclement weather
and vowed its acceptance of wintery rule.
