FAIRY TALE

You were amongst the flowers

Rainbow colours surrounding you

And you were the loveliest of them all

Shining under shade of summer trees.

I believed it all to be a fairy tale

Full of magic and hope and dreams;

All was enchantment and mellow calm.

I knew that if I gazed into your eyes

I would see something no one else has,

Enter a world that feels just right

Where darkness does not have a foothold

Where happy endings are all there are.

Cloudless days by the river

Butterflies and birdsong woods

Bare feet on warm earth

Smiles and conversations under moonlight.

I see you in so many different lights

Always changing in my sight

But always the same in my heart.
