if the human brain is programmed to choose the answer that is the most familiar, not the most correct, then
you are my most familiar
you know the crevasses of my mind that I didn't even know were there
you are my most comfortable,
the person who knows what to say to me when I need something to be said
you are the person that knows I need a voice to speak my words for me
because I am scared of the consequences for my thoughts
but you are not the most correct,
you are not the one who accepts my mind and my being as two separate things
you are not the right answer,
you do not fill in the blank that is needed in my life
you are my familiar, what my mind knows the best
but you are not what is missing
you are not necessary to me,
and you do me more harm than good
