The Lord filled me with joy,
Since you showed interest;
With blessings to employ,
Trying to do your best.
You were interested,
But did not have the chance;
With being arrested,
Before you could advance.
I am not saying it,
Because I am in need;
But it dampens merit,
Being in jail indeed.
The judge has no reason,
To jail you for beliefs;
But commit not treason,
For those with disbeliefs.
I learned to be content,
No matter the issue;
Never try to resent,
No pay back to pursue.
For I know how to live,
Both as rich and as poor;
And I know to forgive,
Those who will slam the door.
When I hunger or thirst,
Too much or little food;
I will think of God first,
To keep from a bad mood.
I do everything,
Through Christ who makes me strong,
The comfort it will bring,
Stops the thoughts that are wrong.
God will fill all your needs,
Mirroring Him each day;
To satisfy your pleads,
In a glorious way.
